NO DINGBATS

Really like where these kids are going with this Witch House thing. What I am most intrigued by is the fact that, like a lot of my mixes, they seem to dwell on inspirations that get their 'sound' from scarcity and the limitations of source material. nTh generation tape dubs of Cosmic Disco mixes and Screw tapes... vinyl rips of dub... rare synth tapes from Europe... VHS copies of Giallo horror. Something about the crackles and hissese and hums.

I am thankful that my new mixes allow me to dwell in some of this lo fi goodness. I am thankful that a handful of kids are dead set on making my upbringing their 'new' movement.
